Some people think it is more important to spend money on roads and motorways than on public transports systems. To what extend do you agree?

It is argued that spending money on roands and motorways is more vital than on public transport systems. Personally, both of them are beneficial to local residents and need to be invested in.

On the one hand, better road quality increases the level of safety for people and reduces traffic congestion. For example, in Vietnam, the number of accidents increases significantly because of holes on road's surface. Furthermore, improving roads and more motorways in big cities where traffic congestion is still a major problem, will increases road capacity. It is evidence that, the government should invest in roads and motorways to ensure the safety of citizens, especially in big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

On the other hand, public tranport systems play a vital role for the environment and people who do not own their private vehicles. In fact, public transport causes less pollutants than cars and other private vehicles. Moreover, travelling by public transport will improve air's quality and decrease be polluted. Adiitional, there is so convenient for people who do not own their private car ot motorway to travel everyday. More specific, travelling by buses or trains is cheaper substantial than tax for private vehicles.

In conclusion, for all the reasons above, I beleive that the government must invest in not only roads anf motorways but alos in public transport systems.
