On the one hand, it is understandable why some employees want to work with multiple companies. First of all, they can cultivate their practical skills. By changing their job, people can meet some experts with various innovations in their field. Therefore, they may work more efficiently owing to the knowledge that they learned from them. Furthermore, they may expand their social network. To illustrate, while individuals work in different organizations, they may have chances to meet a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds. As a result, they may gain helpful information from their network and select relevant ones for their company.
On the other hand, some people want to stay with the same institution for their whole life. This is because they may progress more quickly than others. For example, if people work for the same company for 20 years, they may have a thorough understanding of the existing systems in their organization and can become an expert in their field with years of experience. Consequently, they will always be selected for rewards, recognition as well as promotions since they may have credibility from their superiors compared to the intern.
In conclusion, while there are reasons to support altering companies should be preferred, I strongly believe that it would be the superior way for individuals to work in the same company throughout their life.
