The loss of particular species of plants and animals on our planet is thought to be the main environmental problem today while others show the opposition to this idea. I absolutely agree with the statement that there are more crucial environmental issues and this essay shall analyze both views on these concerns of our time.

To begin with, biodiversity has multiple beneficial aspects to people’s lives, one of which is creating the ecological balance. Forest, which is the natural habitat of some endangered animals like tigers or rhinos, plays an important role in producing a source of fresh air for mankind and some more things. Without the forest, humans will lose a huge green ecosystem, so forests need to be protected seriously. It is not humans but these being at the brick of extinction animals that have the ability to preserve our forest from deforestation. Therefore, the disappearance of particular species can threaten Mother Earth and cause ecological imbalance.

On the other hand, with the development of humanity, we are facing more urgent environmental concerns that need to be tackled including air pollution. A large number of harmful fumes from industrial plants and vehicles are released into the atmosphere day by day, especially in Southeast Asia, which can directly cause adverse effects on the human respiratory system and weaken the ozone layer. This detrimental factor is leading to climate change and global warming which damage living things and cause the gradual increase of deaths over recent years. In truth, some imperative measures should be taken to resolve these prospective issues.

In conclusion, although the reduction of wildlife species is a serious problem, I believe that other major environmental pollutions should also be considered.
