Some people say that living in a high rise apartment block is a lonely experience because there is no community spirit. Others say that people who live in high rise apartment have a much better sense of community than those who live in houses

Many support the view that living in skyscrapers make inhabitant lack sense of community. While it is asserted by some dwelling that lives in high houses gives them a chance to be more active in communication. Let us examine both views before reaching a concrete decision.

It appears that there are none communities like those in residential areas. The most compelling evidence for this circumstance is that unlike people who live in their own house, people who live in tall buildings don’t have weekly meetings or voluntary events to have a conversation with your neighbor. On the one hand, there are bodyguards in most of apartments yet dwellers still believe in the deficiency in terms of security. They will close the door whenever they left or arrive home and this belief causes a decrease of opportunities to socialize.

On the other hand, there will be a pool, park, garden in the building where you can meet someone you know coincidentally. This unexpected situation will help inhabitants to strengthen connections between neighbors. Moreover, tower blocks consist of many rooms which are filled with occupants who come from diverse culture. This helps us acquire a knowledge of different languages. In particular, people who study different languages tend to talk a lot with foreign people so they will look for some foreign neighbor to talk with.

In conclusion, living in skyscrapers provide us many standards of service without being forced when you participate in these outdoor activities. However, in my point of view living in the house still consider a place to increase the sense of community thanks to the opportunities are given by residential areas’ meetings and events.
