These days, people are more likely to study at university to get a college degree to get a job with a high salary. But others do not think that, they believe that university education has more advantages than just finding jobs. From my point of view, I support the opinion that studying at university has more merits for both individuals and society.
On the one hand ,first of all, employers now have more difficult standards about academic level and that is why having a degree is very important for graduates to find jobs. They can get a well-paid job if they have a good degree from a famous university. Second, In university , undergraduates can learn how to work togethers which is very useful for their future job because those who can not work together may struggle to solve some problems that require teamwork skill.
On the other hand, studying at university can bring more advantages for graduates and undergraduates. For one thing, those can learn how to become an independent person when they go far away from their home, they have to do anything alone, for example, cooking, household chores, and taking care themself. Second, they can meet and make friends with people from many places who can become their best friends or even their boy or girl friends in the future. Furthermore, universities have many volunteer clubs that usually help poor people and children who cancered. Undergraduates can participate in this club to do something that has benefits for society.
For the reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that university education has more advantages for individuals and society.
