Some people believe that the government should take care of old people and provide financial support after they retire. Others say individuals should save during their working years to fund their own retirement. What is your opinion?

People have differing views with regard to the question of how to have enough money after they retire. In my view, the government should assist people when they retire, but each person must also set aside funds for this purpose.

Admittedly, there are reasons to believe that the government should look after senior citizens and offer financial assistance once they retire. Chief of these is that if the elderly get pension support, they may afford to make ends meet. For example, when the children are far away, the elderly can take care of themselves with government-supported funds. Furthermore, it is entirely fair for the government to fund pensions as people grow old and are unable to work or earn money. Therefore, retirement assists not only makes people’s lives more and more prosperous but also helps the country avoid starvation.

Furthermore, it is necessary that retired people save money on their own while still working because retirement is a period when you are short of your inherent income. For instance, if they save money at the bank for their life (about fifteen percent), they may pay for the medicine, buy insurance, travel to relax, or explore the world, to name but a few. As a result, if they put their savings in the bank, they may have very high-interest rates so they may live a better life even when they are no longer working.

To sum up, I agree with both views that the government should support retirees and retirees should also consciously save money. It will help human life become fuller and fuller.
