It is true that education has become a hot topic in recent years, especially university education. Some adopt a view that the official should provide access to university for all students with free- paying. However, as far as I am concerned, this policy would not be feasible.
On the one hand, it is alleged that the authorities must take encouragement for the poor into consideration. Strong evidence shows that most of those ones can pursue higher education on the basis of incentives and loans with low interests from the government. Without those, they hardly continue their studying in the prosperous institutions with well paid careers such as doctors, lawyers, architects due to their expensive paying. Subsequently, they are obviously subjected to exclude from the desires of entering into universities. It would be, of course, unfair for the poor and the rich. Indeed, during the last centuries, many struggles happened to gain the rights for education and equality between the white and the black. Thus the official had better encourage the poor to fulfill their dream.
On the other hand, it will be impractical if the government provide free university education for all of the students regardless of their social and financial backgrounds. One reason is that the cost of building and running to construct campuses to serve such a large unprecedented students would be prohibitive. Even if, it still takes no notices of expense for maintenance and staff during the 4 or 5 year studying. Another reason is that a country considered to develop in balance should pay attention to diverse fields. The fact is that if the state only spend the budget on education, they cannot have enough funds to invest in other areas such as hospital, environment, economy. Therefore, it would be more effective if they just open the door to university for those who can meet the demands of fee paying as well as abilities.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the implement policy of the government would be essential for the students to make their dream turn out to be true at the university. However, they should be encouraged to pay tuition.
