Some people believe that competitive sports, both team and individual, have no place in the school curriculum. How far do you agree or disagree?

Some people think that individual and team sports should not be taken place in the school curriculum. In my opinion, I disagree with this statement for the reasons below.

First, playing sports is not only a way to relax after studying but also helps improve our health. Having sat in class for hours learning makes students feel tired and inconvenient, which means they need a rest time, particularly playing sports. Therefore, participating in doing exercises can ease their tiredness and stretch muscles, which helps a lot in having a good body and effective lessons for the whole day. Sometimes a short walk from your class to the schoolyard can make you feel better physically.

On the other hand, doing teamwork sports like football, basketball can assist students in solving conflicts and also extend your friend's relationships. For example, you may know what to do in a particular situation when your teammates have problems such as not in favour of one's opinion, criticize after losing a match, and so on. Moreover, there will have competitions between classes, so you may have more chances to make acquaintance with someone from another class and maybe, learn something good from him or her.

In conclusion, yet other people put forward the view that pupils are not allowed to play competitive sports individually or in a team, I believe that doing sports can benefit significantly in helping us a lot in many things, and many of them can be useful in the future. Also, school equipment has updated a lot, so I think there will not have many dangerous or difficult issues when letting students play sports.
