SOME PEOPLE ARGUES THAT TECHNOLOGICAL INVENTIONS, SUCH AS MOBILE PHONES, ARE MAKING PEOPLE SOCIALLY LESS INTERACTIVE. DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE?There is no denying that technology had changed the way people communicate in the present day. Whether or not technological advancements lead to negative social interactions is a debatable issue. As far as I am concerned, I am against the idea that these inventions benefit interactivity, as it links to self-isolation, as well as increases the risks of the owners. On the one hand, the first and foremost aim of technological creations is within its ability to hold people together. It is no wonder that the virtual network continues to expand as more people are access to electronic devices. With a wide array of social platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, technologies ease the distances between one and one, and therefore, ensure that communication is within the reach of all.On the flip side, high-tech gadgets have their setbacks. Excessive usages are linked to detrimental social isolation. As chronic users intensely focus on their screens, less reciprocal interactions occur, hence, people withdraw themselves from society, and become socially inept. Furthermore, this kind of behavior is not only time consuming or disturbing for the people around them, but also could put them at peril, especially when it is performed when crossing roads or driving. There are instances in which victims involved while gluing their noses on screen, and the consequences are far more vulnerable. To conclude, I am wholeheartedly convinced that technological utilities affect the way humans interact nowadays. While hi-tech devices have their indisputable benefits, it could become hazardous when it is overused.
