Some light staining

Jenny: I was wondering if there was something we could do to make my teeth whiter.

Dr. Riley: I did notice some light staining. Do you drink a lot of coffee?

Hi,

Is it right to understand "light stainging" in the above as "a few stains on your teeth?" Thanks.
