Nowadays, wearing uniforms is compulsory at some high schools, but uniforms are not mandatory to wear at high schools. In my viewpoint, students must wear uniforms at high schools.
To begin with, wearing uniforms take shape the equality between students at schools. Therefore, they don't feel unconfident about their poverty so that there are no conflicts between rich and poor students that can lead to school violence. For example, at a boarding high school, students have to wear uniforms from morning till night so that there are no conflicts between students so that parents are not worried when they send their children to boarding high schools.
On the other hand, students will be more proud of their schools. We have mostly seen at the competitions between schools in a city or nation. Students of each school would try as hard as they could win the contests and bring prizes back to their schools. Therefore, they would have self-confidence and try hard in big exams and competitions. The 30/4 National Olympiad in Ho Chi Minh city perfectly exemplified the competitiveness of more than 20 high schools for the gifted from many areas such as Luong The Vinh High School For The Gifted. Because Students of LTV were proud of their red badges, they got the 3rd prize in total.
To conclude, wearing uniforms helps students to construct discipline in the schools. Moreover, the school leader can control the students when they have a picnic or extracurricular activities. School violence can considerably decrease with uniforms.
