Some help with my understanding

Hi,

I am always getting confused of the following situation.

So here is what I received from Adobe's newsletter

"members always get the latest features as soon as they’re released"

My question is
1. Here the 'they're' even though it refers to the 'features', it can refer to the 'members' as well right? They are released? From where? From Jail?

Could someone please guide me here?

Thank you so much :-)

You go for the nearest thing first, usually, and if that makes sense, you move on.
