Some grammar questions

Hello!

Today, I've been given back my english tests and I got a rather bad mark. In the text we had to write (it was about our opinion concerning dangerous sports) is this line: "However, I have a different opinion concerning this."
My teacher said that this is grammatically incorrect and sounds "strange" to native english speakers. She furthermore said that "I am of a different opinion" is the correct one.
My question is if she is right or not.

My second question concerns the word "corpse". She corrected it to "dead people" (sentence: "On the Mt. Everest for instance, you can see many corpses lying around.") because it's a "weird" expression to use in a normal text, according to her at least. I ask for opinions on that.

Thanks Emotion: smile
By the way, I am from Austria.

Hello!

Thank you for your answer.
Do you know some official sources (e. g. a grammar dictionary) which I could use as a proof?

This is a matter of style and feeling rather than of grammar. However, you can inform your teacher that the Corpus of Contemporary English has 67 citations for 'have/has/had a different opinion' and only eight for 'of a different opinion'.
