Some grammar questions

Hello,

Could you help me with these questions? Thank you very much.

1. I was wondering if it should say a poor country or poor countries.

It is a good thing to adopt a child from poor country.

2. Should I put a comma between “a company” and “you?”

If you want to survive in a company you have to cement your position.

3. The same question: Should I put a comma before the word “you?” The second question is that the word “contact” is a transitive verb that should take an object right after it. So the preposition “with” should be deleted. Is my point correct?

When you live abroad you still should contact with your friends at home.

Thanks,
