Some furniture versus some pieces of furniture

Hallo,

how would you translate the German sentence: "Ich möchte einige Möbelstücke kaufen."?

a) I'd like to buy some pieces of furniture.

b) I'd like to buy some furniture.

c) I'd like to buy furniture.

I would use option a), but are options b) and c) also possible or simply wrong?

Thank you very much!!

All three are grammatically correct. In my opinion a) is too wordy and a verbatim translation from German. I'd use b), which sounds the most natural of the three.

  • If you buy some furniture, it's understood that you buy some pieces of furniture even though the word 'pieces' isn't used.
