Hello everyone. Have a nice day.
I am focusing on how a sentence’s meaning change when comma is used.
I’ll text some sentences by using comma on different place of sentence and want you to tell me changes on meaning.
1-) I saw some people from England with my friends in Paris.
This sentence is not certain.
What is Paris? My friends were in Paris or I saw them when I was in Paris?
So, I want to use comma to correct this.
2-) I saw (some people from England), (with my friends), (in Paris).
The meaning i want to give is
Some people were from England.
I and my friends saw them when we were in Paris.
Did I give the wanted meaning?
3-) I saw some people from England with my friends, in Paris.
I think that the meaning here can be
“In Paris, I saw some people who were with my friends”
Am I right?
4-) We need a few rich people with luxury hotels with least 500 beds.
What does it mean?
Does mean that “We need a few rich people who have luxury hotels which have least 500 beds” ?
Thank you in advance.
