Some day vs Someday

Hello,
Could someone tell me, please, what is the difference between some day and someday?  Is someday used in the same sense as sometime? But then I am confused when to use some day?
Some day you will thank me for it.  or Someday you will thank me for it. (telling my sister, who isn't happy that I make her rewrite her homework)
Some day in the near future. or Someday in the near future.
Some day I'll visit China. or Someday I'll visit China.
