There is an irrefutable that they are around nine hundred thousand vehicle all over the world. Therefore, some densely populated cities have a draft regulation about banning private vehicle such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles not allow to enter the city center on rush time, and public transportations like buses, taxis, and metros are advised. I believe that it has more benefits than drawbacks.
The first advantage of this draft law is limitation number of vehicle moving in the city. Consequently, the traffic jams during rush time would be resolved, and people able to move faster. For example, in HCMC it takes 30 minutes to travel from district 1 to district 5, if the city applies this law it could be 10 to 15 minutes.in additions, fewer vehicles on the street means less exhaust emissions, thus less air pollution. Moreover, the problem of traffic accidents is also significantly reduced; according to HCM transport statistics in 2017 it is over two thousand cases. Most of citizen believe that the limited vehicle in the city center could be minimized the number of traffic accidents.
Nevertheless, the disadvantage of this regulation is inconvenienced to the privates who regularly use private vehicle to travel around the city such as businessman, salesman, Uber and Grab. Besides, it also create difficult for fast delivery services in the city. It could be caused of increasing cost of delivery services in the center of city.
In conclusion, I would argue that although they are disadvantages of the banning private vehicle in the city center, however they are outweighed by the advantages. It could enrich people’s lives and lives of the citizen in the city more safety.
