Haha, maybe I should have posted the whole thing here, which is very long indeed. What I don't really understand is the words "message of unit", or maybe the word "message" is connected to "solution-based". I am trying to translate them but having a hard time now.

Oh I am just translating for myself because I am preparing for the TOEIC test, and this one showed up in my mock up test as one of the articles in reading comprehension.
