Solid work

Can you please explain solid in solid work in other words?

This is Chris, he has a construction company and everything's going great. The members of staff are doing solid work and the order books are full but there's one problem that keeps Chris busy - managing all his equipment is very time-consuming.

I would interpret "solid work" differently. To me, it means that he has dependable employees who can be counted on to do good work.
