Thanks. I get it. But "effervescent" also suggests liveliness. Yes, "stream of consciousness" does suggest lack of deep thought in this context. But I believe this 'shallow' thought could also be excited to many, or masses. Hence, no triteness. Do I make any sense? Please guide me. Thanks.

I agree with Clive, if I properly understand what he's saying.
To most educated native speakers, "shallow" and "trite" have the same pejorative meaning.
"The masses" is often used as a pejorative too, so there ya go!
