Hello everyone. What do you call the applications like "Telegram" "Whatsapp", "Line" and "Instagram" where people can talk together and transmit files and ....
Do you call them "social groups" , "social network" , "social applications" or "messaging service" or anything else?

I'd say that is a social media site. Technically, it can be called an SNS or Social Networking Site, although that wouldn't usually be said in ordinary conversation

Most sites like that also enable you to send a message to one person or to a selected group of people. In that case it is a messaging site too

Wikipedia, as ever, has an article or two on it ...

In the UK, many of us share views and thoughts over Facebook. I googled this in connection with Iran and I understand that it isn't the same in Iran

In the UK, I would say:

1. I have the Telegram app

2. I am on Telegram as peter_smith
[= whatever alias that you use on the site]

3. I am a member of a number of social groups on Telegram
