Social change and future goals, URGENT!

What are your career goals, and how will you help advance positive social change?


During my undergraduate program in Social Science at the University of Tsukuba in Japan, I formed the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in-depth knowledge in the fields of Gender and Studies. Motivated to learn more, I have taken classes from the liberal arts department as well as a broad range of academic disciplines such as Sustainable Development, Human Impact on Environment, Public Policy, and others. Moreover, I was a member of the model United Nations club at the University of Tsukuba and actively participated in conferences that took part at Tsukuba University. Actively visited conversation series events which are organized by United Nations University. Also, I was part of a member of the ice-skating club where I became more flexible with my Japanese speaking abilities. Furthermore, I was a member part of Fit Chain group, where we introduced basic physical activities not only for Japanese, also for foreign students.

Besides, I am a person that does not only persistently works hard academically but also, I constantly try to improve my own community's quality of life by doing volunteer work. I was part of Omochi club (language exchange activity), where I try to connect my passion for education with my desire of helping others. Also, I used to give presentations in the Japanese language introducing my country at a Japanese school. I participated in the cultural program that’s called IFMC (International Foreign Musical Contest), it was a privilege to represent not only my country also, my university.

Due to, I wanted to be financially independent of my family, I have started part-time working at the Liberty International school. Another big challenge for me was balancing study and work.

After completing my undergraduate in International Studies from the University of Tsukuba, I started looking for graduate schools, where I wanted to continue my studies in gender inequality where I can understand more deeply that area by working and become a professional worker who can contribute to society.

In the short term, I will obtain a master’s degree in gender studies. Thus, I can continue on my pathway to become an individual who diversifies and become one of the best role models for my country and for the university. .... Award program can help me as a hardworking person to commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that the scholarships would allow me to be more financially well of, so I would be able to fully dedicate myself to my upcoming graduate school and study deeper about Social Science, both personally and professionally. In order to help my country to build long term relationship with other countries in promoting gender equality for young women living in a rural area.

In the long term, I want to establish a non-profit organization named “Helping together”, which would provide college educational resources to all women, educators, and students regardless of immigration status. I would be grateful for the opportunity to be accepted in the.... Award.
