In soccer a win is 3 points, a draw is and a loss 0.

Let’s say Manchester has 41 points and Arsenal has 37 points. They are set to play each other next week.

How would you phrase the following sentences?

Manchester is looking to win to distance themselves in the standings.

Manchester is looking to draw to keep Arsenal at 4/keep them 4 points behind them/to keep them 4 points away.

Arsenal is looking to win to close the gap.
