Sober 'up' or 'down'

Is this correct?: "Sometimes trolls on the internet get so abusive that you feel like asking them that they should stop smoking whatever they are smoking and sober up/down a little".

Thanks

Thanks for answering. To avoid repetition of the word, smoking, can I say? :"Sometimes trolls on the internet get so abusive that you feel like asking them that they should stop smoking whatever they are and sober up a little".

sober up is a phrasal verb.

to gradually become less drunk, or to make someone become less drunk.

I am not sure if sober down would also have same connotation.
