Soap dish vs Soap tray

Hi

Would you say that a soap dish and a soap tray are the same thing?

Thanks,

Tom

Top answer

A soap dish is a glass or ceramic shallow bowl with ridges so that the soap sits above the water in the bowl and can dry out rather than getting mushy. " A tray is a long, flat, rectangular platter used for serving dishes. That does not mean that the term is not used locally somewhere in the world.

Thanks, AStars.

I myself had never heard/seen the term "soap tray" until today when I bumped into an advertisement on the internet. I checked Google and it did show some results, so I decided to ask.
