So you don`t!

Hello

If sombeody says someting like: You don`t have to do be nice or whatever...! to me

Is it correct to say, as a short answer, "so don`t you" or "you don`t either" meaning, " you don´t have to be nice either."?

Thanks Sarah

Anonymousso don`t you
No. We don't combine so with the negative don't like that. so only goes with affirmatives. It's So do you or You do too for the affirmative and Neither do you or You don't either for the negative.
