1.They used to say that a girl so beautiful is likely to have good friends.
2.They used to say that a girl very beautiful is likely to have good friends.
3.A person so intelligent would quickly realize that he knows nothing in the universe.
4.A person very intelligent would quickly realize that he knows nothing in the universe.
I have a question about which sentences are correct English.
I think only 1 and 3 are correct English because using "very beautiful" and "very intelligent" describing the noun phrases "A girl" and "A person" doesn't seem to be correct English, unlike "so beautiful" and "so intelligent".
What do you think?
Thank you very much.
