,'(so) that' introducing the result of a main clause

You have to really want these DVD copies if you plan on starting this download--it takes quite a while to download. I wanted them simply because I've downloaded so many different Daria torrents over the years, starting with some really horrid TV rips, that I thought it would be cool to have the actual DVD set of the series. And like I said, it took a long time to download, but have no fear, all the discs here work perfectly. I wish there was a specific user I could thank for uploading these; whoever you are, thank you.

I'd like to know whether we can introduce the result of a main clause with only ", that" without "so."

Can you see the 'so (many)' now?. Incidentally, the comma should not be there.
