So much vs so much so

Which is natural please?

She lost so much money that she had to ask her mom for some.
She lost money, so much so that she had to ask her mom for some.
She lost money, so much in fact that she had to ask her mom for some.

Thank you

The most natural is the first: She lost so much money that she had to ask her mom for some. You would not refer to a quantity with "so much so," so the second one doesn't sound good. He is a hateful person -- so much so that no one wants to spend time with him.

  • The last sentence is good, but it is not punctuated correctly: She lost money -- so much, in fact, that she had to ask her mom for some.
