The Jungle Book is a type of fantacy and adventurous story which is written by Rudjard Kipling. It tells about the adventurous life of Indian Boy named Mogwli,a man's cub who was saved from being eaten by a harmful tiger named Shere Khan. His parents had ran away from their campfire after Shere Khan tried to attack them.Actually,by doing this,Shere Khan has broken the Law of The Jungle because all animals could not hunt and kill any human being for their meal. However,Father Wolf and Mother Wolf had saved him after they realised that a man's cub is not a harmful enemy that can put their live in a risk.Mogwli is not safe from Shere Khan because Shere Khan still wants Mogwli as a replasement of his parents eventhough he lived with the wolves. He must be showed first to the Pack Council so that the pack will him as one of the wolves' family. However, according to the law of the jungle, human beings are not allowed in their place,so it is difficult for The Father Wolf and Mother Wolf to keep Mogwli with them as one of their family member.Luckily, Mogwli had deffended by the help of Balloo the sleepy bear and Bagheera the strong black panther for the price of a bull.
After Mowgli had grown up and become a man, there are many conflicts that he had to face especially from his real enemy,Shere Khan.Bagheera had taught him on how to fight Shere Khan by using fire as his weapon. Finally, after he won the fight,he make his own decision to left the jungle and stay with the human because he really dissapointed with his own pack that had betrayed him.Mogwli realised that the pack never assume him as one of the family eventhough he want to be one of them.
In my opinion,i think that this story has many good moral values that can help the readers in understanding how important strong relationship between family members. This story is really meaningful to me and it is interesting too.I think it should be read by everyone because of the important moral values in this story eventhough it is only involved animal community.Perhaps we can take the lesson from the story and adapt it in our real life.
