So many as a post adjective modifier

The street was full of people, so many that it seemed like a holiday. https://books.google.co.kr/books?id=3Nb3BQAAQBAJ&pg=PT107&dq="people+so+many+that"&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj9hZ3c25LoAhWZxYsBHZhGDAkQ6AEIUjAH#v=onepage&q="people so many that"&f=false

Q1) First, I wonder whether the sentence above correct.

Q2) Is "so many" used as a post adjective modifier modifying "people"?

Q3) Is the original sentence the same in meaning as "The street was full of so many people that it seemed like a holiday"?

I would say yes to the three questions, but I'm not really sure about them.

I have already posted a question on "so many", but since the function of 'so many" looks different, I seperately made this question.
