So Far Negative Form

Hi! Are these OK? Thanks, Fulvio

1. So far I've not watched the bull fighting.

2. So far I've not been to the Eiffel tower.

3. So far I've not drunk the wine.

4. So far I've not skied.

If used in a situation where the stated activity is available and is possible or likely to be performed in the future, these are OK. For example, if you are staying in Paris, you can say "So far I've not been to the Eiffel tower", or if you are at a ski resort you can say "So far I've not skied". If you are talking generally about what you have or haven't done in your life, these forms are not so likely, though are not categorically wrong.

  • The other two sentences are slightly different since the definite article narrows it down to a specific situation anyway.
