So far+ been

Hi! Is number 2 possible with "so far"? Thanks, Fulvio

Situation is someone is doing a computer course.

1. I have learned power point and spreadsheets so far.

2. I have been learning power point and spreadsheets so far.

Top answer

I think "so far" sounds natural when we use it to refer to what has been accomplished until the present moment. Example I have learned three concepts in power point so far. We have visited three countries so far.

It's understandable, but it doesn't sound quite right to my ear to list the things you've learned with the continuous tense.
