What is the difference between:- "so much so" and "so much"- "as much as" and "as much"

What kind of examples do you have for "so much so"?

I can only think of conversational uses:

I'm very frustrated by this - so much so that I think I'm going to scream!
The second "so" refers back to "frustrated."
Have you been practicing lately? (reply) So much so that I'm starting to hate it.
The second "so" refers back to "practicing," and may be omitted.

I can't think how I'd use it in the middle of a normal sentence.

"So much" may be used as a substitute for "very much." "Thank you so much!"

"So much" is commonly used with "that."

My head aches so much that I won't be able to finish my homework.

"As much as " usually offers an example:
I expect the price of food to rise by as much as 50%.
Give me as much as you can.
That was not as much as I expected.

Sometimes we elipse the second "as":
I don't think you should use as much salt [as you do]. It's the same as "so much" in this case.

We use it conversationally:
Have you been working much lately? (reply) Not as much [as I used to].
