Hi teachers~
Would you correct me if I am wrong?
The following sentences seem to mean the same.
I was so tired that I went to bed early.
I went to bed because I was so tired.
My guess is that so adjective sentence is more formal and is used when the second part of the sentence (that I went to bed early) is long.
Thanks in advance.
[1] I was so tired that I went to bed early. [2] I went to bed early because I was so tired. These are both grammatically fine, but they have slightly different meanings.

[1] I was so tired that I went to bed early.
[2] I went to bed early because I was so tired.
These are both grammatically fine, but they have slightly different meanings. [1] focuses on your tiredness, and the that clause then has a resultative meaning. Compare I was very tired, so I went to bed.
[2] focuses on the reason you went to bed early
