A while back someone asked if we had noticed people starting their sentences with "So", and I hadn't then. But in the last few weeks on one Yahoo auto list, I have seen it. Maybe it conveys the idea that it's one long conversation and the post that starts "So" is a continuation of a conversation he had with us, or with others, one big conversation. That's my best guess. Today I got an email from that list that started off "Alright I have a 95 Chevy..." Havent' seen "alright" used like that before, but it'sthe same thing, I think.
