Some might term snuggling as a blanket term for all cuddling, spooning, and holding in general. However, I feel that the terms are best defined in this way:

Cuddling includes side by side holding where the man has an arm around girl but both are facing forward and not each other.
Snuggling is where the two are turned in towards each other and there is more face to head or cheek to c

I tend to think of snuggling as having (in addition to all that cuddling has to offer) a utilitarian component, such as physical warmth. In short, I think of snuggling in the winter and cuddling in the summer.

honestly i think cuddling sounds better but on the other hand snuggle i a more passionate more of a be really close and i really love you kinda thing that involves more emotion.

Simple. Cuddling involves human + human, and snuggle involves human + fur (stuffed animal, pet, etc..)
