snatch, pull or drag

I went into troubles when translating an auto article, in which I have several terms that I do not understand. The source is as follows:

Test the brakes at several speeds within the normal operating range using both light and heavy pedal pressure. Note any tendency to snatch, pull or drag, and any undue delay in application or release.
Can anybody tell me what is the meaning of snatch, pull and drag respectively? A million thanks in advance.

****** : To take up the drive suddenly when the clutch pedal is released ( I don't see quite the connection between the clutch and the breaks, but this was the only definition I could find in th automotive dictionary. Perhaps is also refers to a similar condition with the breaks, in which they suddenly grab after an initial delay when the break pedal is pressed-- that is my idea only, however. ) Pull : The action of a vehicle to deviate towards the side.

  • There may be various causes for a vehicle pulling to one side or the other, the most common being: the brakes on either side exerting uneven pressure, incorrect wheel alignment, uneven tire tread, or a defect in the steering system Drag : The condition of brakes when the pads or shoes still rub the disc or drum.
