You did, in fact, hear him say marbleized. If I'm not mistaken, Snagglepuss, is referring to taxidermy. Where the eye are made of marbles.

After reading your reply I googled taxidermy+marbelized and this is what I found:

The word "marbleize" is in the dictionary. It does not have anything to do with marbles - round objects made of glass, but with the rock "marble" that is prized for sculpture and building material. The rock has veins of inclusions. It is expensive, so sometimes cheaper materials are made to look like marble by decorating the surface with a pattern of veins. The action of making some material look like marble is "marbleize."
