I'm just curious. Is there a difference in meaning between "smoking habit" and "the habit of smoking"?

To me, "smoking habit" usually refers more specifically to someone's addiction to smoking, as seen, for example, in the contrast between "He has a smoking habit" and "He has a/the habit of smoking".
