Smoking

Hi

1) I've seen a smoking woman in the street.
2) I've seen a woman smoking in the street.

What's the difference in meaning between 1) and 2), if any?

Thank you.

Hi, 1) I've seen a smoking woman in the street. An odd phrase. Sounds a bit like she was on fire!

Thank you, Clive, for your useful reply. (I thought that it could be a case that she was on fire but wasn't sure.)
