There are a number of these "laws"/ adages, the most famous being parkinson's law 02br 01blockquote 00Work expands to fill the time allotted to it12blockquote 12br 02br 00In other words, however long you have to do one job, you will use all the time available to do it! You could do the job in 2 hours, but if you were given 8 hours, then that's how long it would take.
