Which is correct?

The smell reminds me of something I just can’t spot it/finger on it.

I read this online. I think there are mistakes. Are there ? Are the underline bits grammatically wrong or not natural?

Neither. You can't put your finger on it. "Spot it" does not work. "The smell reminds me of something, but I just can’t put my finger on it."

There is a person called an editor. It is his job to take what people have written and make it good. The stuff you read on the Internet has not been given that treatment. Do not expose yourself to it. Read printed material or reproductions of it. Besides, this piece was written by a non-native speaker, probably, to judge by the wording. It is riddled with mistakes.

"A good or bad feel" is unidiomatic, and I can't tell what the writer meant.
