Small Spanish movies

Apparently she's had a number of roles in small Spanish movies, the last one being two years ago. So it seems like she might have pursued a career in acting.

1) Is "small" as an adjective not natural here? Searching for "in small Spanish movies" had no examples on Google. Would "smaller" or "minor" be better?

2) Is the rest perfectly natural or would you change anything about it?
