Small-sized vs. small-size?

Hello,

I am stumped. What is the difference, if any, between the two?
Would I say "small-sized particle" or "small-size particle", or are both correct?

Thank you!

In my opinion, you should just say "a small particle."

My two cents.....

Generally speaking, a "particle" is already understood to be small. Precisely speaking, particle is invisible to human eyes; and a particle is much smaller than a spec of dust. If an adjective must be used, "microscopic" perhaps is more appropriate.
