small and tight

I'm uncertain about the first and 3rd sentence. Should I say "poker world is small" and "it's a tight circle" I can't find "tight circle" in my dictionary.
The poker world is very small. Everyone knows each other. It's a very tight circle.

Thank you

Hi To me, a "tight circle" means ... - There aren't many of us - Everyone knows each other - We trust each other; we look after each other - We don't share our ideas with other people - We play by the same rules If that is true of the world of poker, then it's a good phrase. I'm not sure if poker players trust each other - maybe in some way they do Dave
