Slum road, sprinkled on me

While walking along the road, one vehicle which was moving fast on the slum road sprinkled lots of the dirty water on me. I had to return back home and wash all my clothes.

I mean "the dirty water on some local roads because of rain" by "slum". Please correct my sentences and provide me with better versions.

Hi Gary,
You could say:

While walking along the slum road after a rain i was splashed [not sprinkled] with dirty water by a fast-moving taxi. I had to go home and wash all my clothes and take a bath.

To sprinkle means to gently apply a small amount of something. To splash means to douse with a large amount.
