slow down/ up?

Could you please explain the difference between slow up and slow down?

A. Slow up/down! Don't run so fast!

B. Slow up/down, I don't understand what you're trying to say!

C. You should slow up/down your scooter a bit, otherwise we might get caught by the police.

Could you gimme some other examples?

Just a personal note.
I never use "slow up". It sounds very strange to my ear.
To me it's "speed up" and "slow down".

Davidrock - next time, would you please take the time to write "give me" instead of "gimme"? Some short cuts that are standard on many boards (like "u" for "you") might be confusing to English learners here -- and some of us are just allergic to them! Thanks - I hope you don't mind my suggestion.

I always say slow up and it drives my husband crazy. He is always "correcting" me by telling me I should say slow down. He thinks it may be a Midwest thing. As for me, I will continue to say slow up.
