Slipped attention

What words or phrases could I use to convey the following meaning:

Context: There is a movie I've just read about, it's a movie from 2010, a highly acclaimed one, yet unknown to me. I want to say sth like:

"somehow the movie slipped my attention"

"somehow the movie escaped my attention"

"somehow I missed that movie"

"somehow I missed watching the movie"

I hope you guys get what I mean. Is any of the above sentences correct? Do you have any other suggestion of how could that idea be conveyed?

The simplest, easiest, and most useful is Somehow I missed that movie. Another of your attempts is grammatical but perhaps too formal for everyday use: Somehow that movie escaped my attention. The other two don't work.
